My name is Dominic Teo and I'm currently an analytics manager with the Ministry of National Development (MND). I'm interested in the intersection of public policy and technology as well as the application of Big Data and Civic Tech in the public sphere.
I graduated Cum Laude from Sciences Po Paris with a BA in Social Sciences & Economics followed by a MS in Computational Analysis and Public Policy (MSCAPP) at the University of Chicago. The MSCAPP degree is a 2 year dual degree offered by the Schools of Computer Science and Public Policy.

I hired Dominic to help build a case for mobile apps in the travel space. I first saw Dominic's work on Seeking Alpha. I felt his paper on Spotify was well written, well researched, and logical in every way. My head of product and myself were very impressed. We enjoyed the paper so much we had to reach out. I was completely surprised that Dominic, at such an early stage in his career, had so much talent. We really enjoyed our working relationship and really loved the work he produced for us. It is my great pleasure to provide this recommendation letter for Dominic [who]... was assigned to the AORA project, a global buying e-commerce concierge startup to faciliate cross-border purchases in Asia. Dominic's scope of work was two-fold. Firstly, he was greated involved in the development of the online e-commerce platform. He worked closely with the Operations Director, the various programmers and the UI/UX team in the creation of the platform while also liaising with 3rd party partners. He also worked extensively on the Initial Coin Offering, in particular he lead the development of the company's Know Your Client (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies. Dominic's valuable input regarding the overall business strategy was instrumental in enhancing and positioning the project's value proposition.

Dominic completed an eight-week (June to August 2017) internship at Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Project Office in Singapore’s Ministry of National Development. His key tasks included a research report and a presentation on the role and development of public housing in China, especially Tianjin and the Eco-City. He also helped with logistics arrangements for two official visits by Chinese government delegations to Singapore. During his internship, Dominic demonstrated positive qualities such as determination and willingness to learn new skills. Despite being relatively inexperienced with the subject matter when he first started, he picked up the knowledge fairly quickly... he was a good team player and collaborated well with other interns to put up a joint presentation..
